As the new school year begins, Delaware educators are gearing up to use Schoology, a Learning Management System (LMS) that helps teachers personalize instruction and share lesson plans.
Schoology is a free web and mobile app that helps you create and administer online courses, collaborate with your students, synchronize all student data in one place, and issue grades automatically. The app also links you with libraries, school districts, and higher education institutions that can support your implementation.
Here are four things you should know about Schoology as it launches statewide:

How does Schoology work?
The app itself is a web interface that your students can access from their phones, computers, or tablets. You will be required to set up an account with Schoology before it can be used to create and administer online courses.
When setting up a new account, you’ll select the type, of course, you want to create, either as a “Self-guided Course,” which contains all of the information needed for students to complete the course on their own; or as “Coach-Guided Course,” which has more detailed instructions for your students.
Is there a Schoology app for PC?
When it comes to accessing Schoology, students can use a desktop or laptop computer but they might want the option of downloading content so that you don’t need an internet connection.
How do I download Schoology to my computer?
To install an app, click the App Center icon at top of Schoology and select one from their extensive list. For each course or group that you want to be installed with your desired installation (some apps only allow for Homepages), check off “installation options.”
How do I install Schoology?
Log into www. Schoology niches with either Facebook or Google+. If you have an email address associated with a Schoology school already listed under School Profile > MY ACCOUNTS®, click CONTINUE TO NEXT STEP.
Is there a Schoology app?
If you’re looking for a place to store all your schoolwork, Schoology might be the answer. All of their materials can be downloaded and stored on an Android device so that they don’t need internet access at any given time!
How can Schoology help me improve my teaching?
The app allows you to create and administer online courses that aren’t being done at all in schooldays, which changes the way you present information and causes your students to truly understand it.
You can also easily create quizzes that have proven effective in helping students retain knowledge as well as ask multiple choice questions instead of essay questions (which can be ineffective if time is a factor or if the task is very extensive).
Schoology also allows you to keep track of live student activity on their devices so they know how they’re doing each day and if they’re on track for completion of the course materials.
How to download a Schoology class online on your computer?
Step 1: Download the Schoology PC app from the Windows Store.
Step 2: Open the Schoology PC app on your computer and sign in to your Schoology account.
Step 3: Go to STUDENTS and ADD STUDENTS. Add a new class or create a new course. If you want to add a new class for the first time, you will be asked to create an account instead of adding a class.
Step 4: Add a new class. Now we will be adding the class so that it can be downloaded to your Windows 10 device.
Step 5: Set up your class to download. To download the class, click on the three dots in front of “Save for offline use”.
You’ll see a list of options that you can choose for your PC app, including “Save to Downloads”.
You can also click the “Download” button to get your files. The app will then download to your computer and then will be synced with your device.
